Care
Once a year we check that it still works.
A setup done today has to survive new phones, new software versions and house moves. Care is a subscription for three things: a yearly recovery test, reminders about updates and help when something breaks or you lose a key. We still never see your keys.
You add Care after the setup, if you want it. You pay nothing when you sign up.
What we do through the year
- 1
Recovery test
Once a year we repeat the recovery test together. That way you know the backup works before you really need it.
- 2
Reminders
We remind you about hardware and software updates. You install them yourself, and we help if something gets stuck.
- 3
Family instructions
Once a year we also check that the instructions still match your setup. A new phone, a new wallet version or a move are reasons to fix the text.
- 4
Help when it breaks
Lost a key, broken hardware, something that doesn't add up? You write to us and we work out what to do together. In a 2-of-3 wallet one lost key doesn't lock you out, but it's worth replacing.
What it costs
- a yearly recovery test together with us
- reminders about hardware and software updates
- help when something breaks or you lose a key
No commitment. You can cancel in any month, and your wallet keeps working without us.
What we don't do
- We have no access to your funds or keys, not even under the subscription
- We don't manage your wallet and don't send transactions for you
- We don't buy hardware for you: you order new devices from the maker
- We don't give investment, tax or legal advice

Questions about Care
Do I have to buy Care?
No, it's optional. You can check once a year that you can recover access yourself, or do it with us.
What happens if I cancel?
Your wallet keeps working, because it relies on open-source software and keys that you hold. You only lose the reminders and our help.
Will you help if I lose a key?
Yes, it's one of the three things in the subscription. In a 2-of-3 setup the two remaining keys are enough to keep going, so we can work out the replacement calmly.
