What we collect and why

This site does one thing with your data: it keeps a sign-up list. Below we describe everything that happens to it, in plain language. If the code changes, this page changes too.

Who is responsible for the data

The data controller is Jakub Ciepielowski, founder of Shellcrew Vault, based in Poland. The site and its data are hosted on a server in the European Union.

When you join the list

Submitting the form saves one row in our database with:

  • your email address
  • the place on the site you signed up from (for example "en-hero" or "en-checkup")
  • the time of sign-up
  • the IP address, the browser user-agent string and the page you came from, which we use to detect and block automated sign-ups

What we do with it

We write to you when a date becomes free. Nothing else will reach your inbox until you write to us yourself. To leave the list earlier, write to the address at the bottom of the page and your row will be deleted. We don't sell, rent or share the list with anyone, and we don't use it for ads on other platforms.

Each new sign-up also triggers one email notification to the founder, sent by our own mail server (OVH, EU).

We don't ask for wallet addresses or amounts.

For a sign-up from the "en-checklista" source, after you submit the form we show a link to the PDF and don't send a separate email.

Protection against bots

The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. When it's on, Cloudflare receives technical data about your request (such as the IP address and browser characteristics) to judge whether it looks automated, in line with the Cloudflare privacy policy. We don't get this data back, only the result: passed or not.

Visit statistics

We count page views with our own installation of Umami, running on the same server. It sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses and builds no profile across sites. We see aggregate numbers: pages visited, traffic sources, countries, browsers.

How long we keep it

We keep list rows until the service launches and for 12 months after it, or until you ask us to delete yours, whichever comes first. IP addresses, user-agent strings and referrers are removed from the row no later than 90 days after sign-up.

Your rights

At any time you can ask to see the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or object to its processing. Write to the address below from the email you signed up with, and we'll deal with it within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority; in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), and you can also complain to the authority in the EU country where you live (GDPR Art. 77).

Legal basis

Keeping you on the list and writing to you about dates: your consent, given when you submit the form (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by writing to us. Blocking abuse and keeping the service running: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
